Prayer Across America
As I continued to pray how to describe our trips over the 48 mainland states, I am reminded of John 21:25. There is neither time nor space to write down the things that we overcame and that God ministered to Kathy and me praying across this nation. Therefore, I am only writing some of what we encountered and overcame, and a couple of the specific prayers that God put in my heart when we were praying for this nation.
1 Timothy 2:1-4 states: "I Exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." As you know in August of 2006 the Spirit of God put a prayer in Doyle's heart out of Joel 2,"Let the priests, the ministers of the Lord, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O Lord, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?" This prayer was prevalent in my heart and was prayed throughout the states and still is today. Another specific prayer that the Spirit of God put in my heart for this nation comes from Genesis 18 where Abraham interceded for the men of Sodom. He states in verse 23: "Wilt thou destroy the righteous with the wicked?" In verse 25 Abraham said, "That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the judge of the whole earth do right?" This is a powerful prayer of intercession. James 5:16, "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." A righteous man is one that is doing the will of the Father (the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob).
We thank God for all those who joined us to pray for America, and we encourage the Body of Christ to continue praying and fasting for this nation. Remember Proverbs 14:34 "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."
►I found some of Terry's written testimonies from our trips across America. It was encouraging to me and the girls the things that Terry and I encountered and overcame. To read some of the testimonies, click here. God bless, Kathy

Ephesians 6:11-12 tells us, "Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." We can honestly say that we got a deeper revelation of this scripture. We engaged, wrestled, and overcame many principalities, powers, rulers, and spiritual wickedness', some of which included politics, education, religion, finance, ethnic traditions, medicine, witchcraft, and sorcery to name a few. It was a constant war with intense pressure! However, in every situation God always caused us to triumph in Christ (2 Cor. 2:14).
